India
Knotted in India.
Their contribution
Indian wool. Depth drawn from natural dye.
India is the home of our Indian-wool production — a fibre prized for the depth it takes from natural dye. The workshops we work with are in northern India — the historic centre of Indian hand-knotting. Indian craftspeople have an exceptional command of texture and pile variation: the ability to create a rug that reads as monochrome from a distance but reveals, close up, a field of subtle shifts in tone and depth. Our Indian collection uses this quality to build pieces that change with the light.
Speciality: Indian wool, prized for the depth it takes from natural dye. Knot type: Senneh (Persian) knot. Knot density: up to 200 KPSI.
