1. Acceptance of terms

By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Orders and commissions

All CarpetArtisan rugs are made to order. By placing an order, you commission a hand-knotted rug to the specifications agreed. Lead time is 12–16 weeks from render approval. A 30% deposit is required at checkout; the remaining 70% is invoiced on completion.

3. Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express (via Stripe), PayPal, TWINT (Switzerland only), and bank transfer (trade accounts). All prices are in CHF inclusive of 8.1% Swiss VAT for Swiss deliveries. International orders may be subject to import duties payable by the buyer.

4. Cancellation and changes

You may cancel or amend your commission within 48 hours of order placement without penalty. After render approval, cancellation incurs a fee equal to 30% of the commission value (your deposit). Once production has begun, cancellation is not possible.

5. Delivery

Delivery is within 1 week of balance receipt. Shipping risk transfers to you upon handover to the carrier. We strongly recommend insurance for high-value commissions.

6. Returns and defects

As each rug is made to your specification, we do not accept returns for change of mind. If your rug arrives damaged or materially different from the approved render, contact us within 14 days for a remedy.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes will be resolved before the courts of Zurich.
