Every CarpetArtisian rug is GoodWeave-certified.
There are no exceptions.
GoodWeave is a global nonprofit that exists for one reason: to end child labor in the rug industry and to protect the artisans who weave for a living.
The rug sector, historically, has been one of the worst offenders. An estimated 160,000 children still work illegally on looms across South Asia, the Middle East, and parts of North Africa. GoodWeave certifies, audits, and rescues — with unannounced inspections, full supply-chain traceability, and schools for the children it removes from labor.
We do not source from a single atelier that has not passed GoodWeave certification. Every rug we sell carries a numbered GoodWeave label, attached at the loom, verifiable against the GoodWeave registry.
